The neighbourhood of Newcastle West covers the areas of Knutton, Silverdale, Cross Heath and Parksite. All these areas are small, but bustling communities, close to Newcastle-under-Lyme town centre.

The area is situated near to the A34 trunk road, which is a vital route into and out of Newcastle-under-Lyme town centre. The area is largely residential with many local amenities and schools.
