About Unstone and Rural

The neighbourhood team have provided the following description of their work:

This Safer Neighbourhood area covers Unstone and the northern part of the rural area including the villages of Appleknowle, Barlow, Holmesfield, Cutthorpe, Old Brampton, West Handley and Millthorpe as well as the smaller hamlets. It belongs to the North East Local Policing Unit.
The area consists of large expanses of rural landscape with a number of small villages and hamlets. Agriculture and leisure form the main industry.
